About the Hosts
Ben & Erica Wagner
“We started farming here in 2015, Erica grew up on a corn/soybean farm down the road and I had a taste of farming from WWOOFing in North Fork, California at Kern Family Farm. After dreaming about farming for 10 years we began to try and heal the soil abused by conventional ag and increase biodiversity by growing cover crops and abandoning the use of agricultural chemicals.
After a few seasons watching all the storm runoff quickly flow through the waterway and off the farm it was evident we could improve the water management practices on the farm. After reading Yeomans we decided to get RAD involved to help with the design of the earthworks to help us passively capture rainfall and slow down and spread the water over the farm.”
